on Ableton Live
I have finally started using Ableton purposefully and its a great piece of software, however I somehow still find myself edging back to all of the old DJ transitions I am used to with traditional turntables (it's a start).
This being said, it's still a step on the right direction to being able to start gigging again, which will be immense - god knows its been a long time coming (20 months and counting), I guess that's the transition you go through moving to a new city.
When I start producing some solid mixes and material I will start posting, in the meantime for you Ableton peeps you can see my DJ template below, 6 channels assigned to my VCM 600, 3 midi channels assigned to my keyboard, effects channels...you get the idea.

Soundcloud
On the advice of a work mate, who I spent a fair bit of time rambling about Ableton live to on Friday night, I checked out Soundcloud. This is one seriously impressive website and I can see it becoming a must for artists and label.
I especially like the way it integrates across multiple networking platforms, and a lot of effort has been put into an impressive widget - a lesson for up and coming web 2.0 companies who may see functional widgets as a sideline to their main strategy.
